PDP Affirms Hon. Dr. Ibrahim Nasir Kwami as Consensus Candidate for Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency Ahead of 2027

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State has officially affirmed Ibrahim Nasir Kwami as the consensus candidate for the Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The affirmation was made during a high-level stakeholders’ meeting held at the Gombe North PDP Zonal Office in Malam Sidi. The meeting was presided over by the Gombe North Zonal Chairman and attended by PDP Local Government Chairmen from Gombe, Kwami, and Funakaye Local Government Areas, alongside representatives of the State Executive Committee.

Also present at the meeting were officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from both the Gombe State office and the Malam Sidi zonal office, who monitored and observed the proceedings.

Speaking shortly after his affirmation, Hon. Dr. Ibrahim Nasir Kwami expressed deep appreciation to the leadership of the PDP in Gombe State for the confidence reposed in him and for giving him the opportunity to emerge as the party’s consensus candidate.

He also extended gratitude to the people of Kwami and the entire Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency for their continued support, trust, and encouragement.

Political observers have described the development as a significant step toward strengthening the PDP’s preparations for the 2027 elections in the constituency, with party leaders emphasizing unity, inclusiveness, and grassroots mobilization as key priorities moving forward.
