VHF Foundation Awards ₦10 Million Educational Support to 100 Gombe Students

In a significant boost to higher education in Gombe State, the VHF Foundation has commenced the disbursement of educational support worth ₦10 million to 100 indigent students from the state studying in various tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
The initiative, which began on Sunday, June 28, 2026, is part of the Foundation's ongoing commitment to promoting access to quality education and easing the financial challenges faced by students pursuing higher learning.
According to a press statement signed by Engineer Aliyu Mohammed, each of the 100 selected beneficiaries will receive ₦100,000 to assist with tuition fees, accommodation, learning materials, transportation, and other academic-related expenses.
The Foundation described education as one of the most powerful instruments for personal empowerment and national development, emphasizing that investing in young people is key to building a prosperous and self-reliant society.
It noted that many students face financial difficulties that threaten their academic progress, adding that the intervention is intended to reduce such burdens and enable beneficiaries to remain focused on their studies and achieve their educational aspirations.
"The Foundation remains committed to investing in the future of our young people by ensuring that deserving students receive the support they need to pursue their academic goals," the statement read.
The VHF Foundation explained that the educational support programme forms part of its broader humanitarian and community development initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of individuals and strengthening educational opportunities across Gombe State.
