Al-Itqan Academy Holds Colourful 2nd Graduation and Walimah Ceremony in Gombe

Al-Itqan Academy (Islamiyya Section) has successfully held its 2nd Graduation and Walimah Ceremony, celebrating the academic and spiritual achievements of its students in a colourful event attended by Islamic scholars, traditional leaders, government officials, parents, and well-wishers.

The ceremony, which took place at the school's premises in Bogo Area 11, behind GSSS Doma, Gombe, brought together prominent personalities from within and outside Gombe State to witness the graduation of students who successfully completed various stages of their Islamic education.

Delivering a lecture at the event, Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Muhammad Gombe urged the graduating students to remain steadfast in the teachings of Islam and continue seeking beneficial knowledge while upholding good character in society. A second lecture was delivered by Professor Idris Abubakar Talle, who also encouraged the graduates to become worthy ambassadors of Islamic values.

The event attracted several respected Islamic scholars and community leaders, including Sheikh Bashir Isah Nassarawo, Sheikh Dr. Yahya Bello, Sheikh Murtala Saleh Kaugama, Sheikh Ismail Saleh Gwalam, Dr. Abdullahi Abubakar Lamido, Malam Ahmed Sa'adu, Sheikh Salih Thabit, Sheikh Kabiru Ahmad Yau, Goni Ibrahim Siddi Hamma, Goni Aliyu Ismail, and Dr. Ammar Abdussalam from Jos, Plateau State.

Traditional institutions were also represented, with the Hakimin Bogo, Alhaji Baddi Galadima, represented by the Wazirin Bogo, Alhaji Abdulkabir Ahmed Gulazu, while several community leaders, parents, and supporters attended the ceremony.

One of the highlights of the event was the generous support received by the academy's teachers. Sheikh Albany Gombe donated ₦540,000 to the teachers in recognition of their dedication to Islamic education, while Alhaji Shehu Usman from Yola, Adamawa State, donated an additional ₦200,000.

The management of the academy also acknowledged the continuous support of the Al-Itqan Charitable Foundation, under the leadership of Engr. Aminu Ahmed (Amir), describing the foundation's contributions as instrumental to the growth and development of the institution.

Speaking after the ceremony, the Director of Al-Itqan Academy (Islamiyya Section), Abubakar Sadiq Bala, expressed gratitude to all guests, donors, parents, teachers, students, and volunteers for making the event a success. He gave special recognition to the academy's teachers and students, particularly members of the Ummahaat Section, for their outstanding efforts in coordinating the feeding programme throughout the ceremony.

He prayed for Allah's blessings upon everyone who contributed financially, physically, and spiritually to the success of the event, asking Allah (SWT) to reward them abundantly in this life and the Hereafter.

The successful graduation and Walimah ceremony marked another milestone in Al-Itqan Academy's commitment to promoting quality Islamic education and nurturing future generations equipped with sound religious knowledge and moral values.
