APC YOUTHS FROM FIKA EAST ALLEGE EXCLUSION, CALL FOR FAIRNESS FIKA, YOBE STATE | Friday, October 9, 2026

FIKA, YOBE STATE | Friday, October 9, 2026

Youths of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Fika East, Yobe State, have accused the party’s local leadership of excluding them from key party activities and decision-making processes, calling for greater inclusion and fairness.

The youths, led by Hon. Usman, popularly known as AKA SEBE, made the allegations during a press briefing in Fika on Thursday. They expressed dissatisfaction with what they described as their continued marginalisation in party consultations and reconciliation efforts.

The group specifically raised concerns about the leadership of the APC Chairman in Fika East, Alhaji Muhammadu Gadaka, and the Chairman of the party’s Reconciliation Committee, Engr. Abubakar D. Aliyu, a former Minister of State for Power.

According to the youths, they have not been adequately involved in meetings and initiatives affecting their interests. They called on the party leadership at the state and national levels to intervene and ensure fair representation.

Despite their grievances, the group reaffirmed its commitment to the APC and urged party leaders to prioritise unity, peaceful reconciliation and the participation of young people ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The youths also commended Hon. Prince Aliyu Abali, popularly known as Dattaku Dan Kakara, for what they described as his contributions to grassroots development. They cited support for farmers, youths and women, as well as initiatives involving water supply, healthcare and tree planting in rural communities.

The group called on the party to address the concerns raised and adopt an inclusive approach to strengthen unity and cooperation among members.

The allegations have not been independently verified. Alhaji Muhammadu Gadaka and Engr. Abubakar D. Aliyu have not been quoted responding to the claims in the account provided. Their responses will be included if obtained.
