Easter Reflection: Climate Change and the Urgency of Environmental Responsibility in Gombe State and Nigeria

At Jewel Environmental Initiative, a Gombe State-based NGO led by its CEO, Ismail Umar Bima, we believe that the message of Easter goes beyond spiritual renewal; it calls for a renewed commitment to safeguarding our planet, especially in the face of growing climate challenges in Gombe State and across Nigeria.

In recent years, the impact of climate change has become increasingly visible in Nigeria. Across the country, extreme weather events have displaced communities, destroyed farmlands, and threatened food security.
