APC Primary Crisis: “No Election Held in Balanga/Billiri,” Says Aspirant Alfred John Attajiri
Aspirant for the Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency seat under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alfred John Attajiri, has insisted that no valid primary election was conducted in the constituency on the scheduled day of the exercise.
Speaking after the process failed to commence, Attajiri alleged that election materials were never delivered to any of the designated venues throughout the period set aside for the primary election.
According to him, only security personnel were deployed to the expected voting centres, while party members and delegates waited in vain for electoral officials and materials to arrive.
In a video currently circulating online, the APC aspirant maintained that the exercise could not be described as an election under any democratic standard.
He called on the national leadership of the APC, as well as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to intervene in the matter and ensure fairness, transparency, and justice for all stakeholders involved.
The development has sparked concerns among party supporters in the constituency, with many awaiting an official response from the APC leadership regarding the alleged failure to conduct the primary election.
