Gombe Trade Commissioner Nasiru Muhammed Aliyu Hands Over Following Cabinet Dissolution

The Commissioner Ministry of Trade, Commerce and Industry, Hon. Nasiru Muhammed Aliyu, has formally handed over the affairs of the ministry to the Director of Administration and Finance following the dissolution of the State Executive Council by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya on Wednesday.

The handing-over ceremony, held at the ministry, was attended by senior officials, staff, and representatives of key trade and business groups. The event marked the official conclusion of Hon. Nasiru Muhammed’s tenure as commissioner, bringing to a close a period described by many as impactful and reform-driven.

In his remarks during the ceremony, Hon. Nasiru Muhammed Aliyu, expressed profound appreciation to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the ministry. He described the opportunity as a privilege to serve the people of Gombe State and contribute to the development of the trade and industrial sector. He also extended heartfelt gratitude to the management and staff of the ministry for their unwavering support, cooperation, and commitment throughout his time in office.

Reflecting on his tenure, the outgoing commissioner highlighted several achievements recorded under his leadership, noting that the ministry made significant strides in promoting commerce, supporting small and medium-scale enterprises, and strengthening collaboration with stakeholders. He emphasized that these successes were the result of teamwork and dedication from all members of the ministry.

In his remark, the Director of Administration and Finance, Mr. Dimas Dan Maikudi, commended Hon. Nasiru Muhammed for his exemplary leadership qualities, describing him as a man of integrity, honesty, and accountability in public service. He acknowledged the positive impact of his leadership on the ministry and prayed for his continued success in future endeavors.

Goodwill messages were also delivered by representatives of various trade associations, including (NATA), Bola Jari association, the Oil Millers Association, and the Village Market Association. They praised the outgoing commissioner for his consistent support and interventions, noting that his leadership provided an enabling environment for their businesses to thrive.

The ceremony concluded with prayers and well-wishes for both the outgoing commissioner and the leadership of the ministry, as stakeholders expressed optimism for continued progress in the trade and industry sector of Gombe State.
