𝗡𝗦𝗖𝗗𝗖 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗲, 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗲

Gombe, Nigeria - 22 May, 2026

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gombe State Command, has arrested five suspected criminals allegedly involved in motorcycle and mobile phone theft across parts of the state.

According to the Command, the suspects were apprehended during separate operations carried out by operatives of the corps following intelligence reports and complaints from residents.

The NSCDC disclosed that some of the suspects specialised in stealing motorcycles parked in residential areas and commercial locations, while others were linked to phone snatching and related criminal activities within Gombe metropolis.

Items reportedly recovered from the suspects include stolen motorcycles, mobile phones, and other valuables believed to have been obtained through illegal activities.

Speaking on the development, the Command reiterated its commitment to tackling crime and ensuring the safety of lives and property in the state. It also warned criminal elements to desist from unlawful acts or face the full weight of the law.

The corps further revealed that investigations are ongoing to uncover other members of the syndicates and possible receivers of the stolen items.

Residents were urged to remain vigilant and continue providing useful information to security agencies to support efforts aimed at reducing crime across the state.
