Khvicha Kvaratskhelia Named UEFA Champions League Player of the Season After Stunning Campaign

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia Crowned UEFA Champions League Player of the Season After Sensational Campaign

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been named the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League Player of the Season following a remarkable campaign that helped guide Paris Saint-Germain to a second consecutive European title.

The Georgian winger was one of the standout performers throughout the tournament, finishing with 10 goals and six assists in 16 appearances. His creativity, pace, and attacking brilliance proved crucial as PSG powered their way through the competition and lifted Europe's most prestigious club trophy once again.

UEFA's Technical Observer Group selected Kvaratskhelia as the competition's best player after a series of influential displays, including a memorable semi-final performance against Bayern Munich, where he scored twice in PSG's thrilling 5-4 victory.

The 25-year-old also played a decisive role in the final against Arsenal, winning the penalty that allowed Ousmane Dembélé to equalize in a match PSG eventually won to secure the Champions League crown.

Kvaratskhelia's outstanding season earned widespread praise from fans and football analysts, with many describing the award as fully deserved after his consistent impact in both the knockout rounds and the final.

His inclusion in UEFA's Team of the Season was accompanied by four PSG teammates — Dembélé, Vitinha, Marquinhos, and Nuno Mendes — highlighting the French club's dominance in this year's competition.

With the award now added to his growing list of achievements, Kvaratskhelia has further cemented his reputation as one of world football's elite talents and a key figure in PSG's continued success on the European stage.
