FREE LIGHT OF NIGERIAN YOUTH FOUNDATION ADVANCES WOMEN EMPOWERMENT THROUGH SKILLS ACQUISITION PROGRAM
In commemoration of the Renewed Hope Agenda for unemployed women and youth, the Free Light of Nigerian Youth Foundation (FLNYF), under the visionary leadership of its Founder, Amb. Farida Musa Jauro (Dawisun Mubi), has continued the implementation of its ongoing Skills Acquisition and Empowerment Programme across Mubi North, Mubi South, and Maiha Local Government Areas of Adamawa State.
The programme, which aims to train and empower 750 beneficiaries, is designed to provide practical vocational skills that will enable participants to become self-reliant, economically productive, and contributors to community development. The initiative reflects the Foundation’s commitment to reducing unemployment, promoting entrepreneurship, and improving the livelihoods of women and young people in the region.
Speaking on the significance of the programme, Amb. Farida Musa Jauro emphasized that empowering women and youth through skill acquisition remains one of the most effective strategies for combating poverty and fostering sustainable development. She noted that the Foundation is dedicated to creating opportunities that will help beneficiaries achieve financial independence and build brighter futures.
The Skills Acquisition Programme is generously sponsored by Barrister Idris Shuaibu, APC National Vice Chairman (North East), as part of his solidarity support for all APC candidates in Adamawa State. His contribution demonstrates a strong commitment to grassroots development, youth empowerment, and the advancement of women through meaningful economic opportunities.
Participants are receiving training in various vocational and entrepreneurial skills tailored to meet current market demands and encourage self-employment. Upon completion, beneficiaries are expected to utilize the knowledge gained to establish businesses, create jobs, and contribute positively to the socio-economic growth of their communities.
The Free Light of Nigerian Youth Foundation remains steadfast in its mission of empowering vulnerable groups, promoting education, supporting community development, and creating pathways for sustainable economic growth. Through initiatives such as this, the Foundation continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of women and youth across Adamawa State.
As the programme progresses, stakeholders and community leaders have commended the Foundation and its partners for their dedication to improving the welfare of citizens and advancing the vision of a prosperous and empowered society.
