Gombe Police Step Up Security Operations, Issue Public Safety Advisory
The Gombe State Police Command has intensified its proactive policing strategy, reinforcing security measures across the state while urging residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement agencies.
According to a statement released by the Command’s spokesperson, the renewed efforts align with directives from the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, to strengthen patrols, enhance community engagement, and adopt intelligence-led policing nationwide.
The Commissioner of Police in Gombe State, Umar Ahmed Chuso, has consequently ordered the expansion of patrol operations, stop-and-search activities, and joint security initiatives. The Command has also increased intelligence gathering and strategically deployed personnel to identified flashpoints to curb criminal activities.
As part of the measures, tactical units and divisional patrol teams have been placed on high alert to ensure swift responses to distress calls and credible intelligence.
The police reiterated their commitment to safeguarding lives and property, emphasizing the importance of public cooperation in maintaining security across the state.
