EKE, OKPOKWU LGA — A wave of political momentum swept through Eke Ward as prominent stakeholders, party leaders, and community members gathered in a vibrant show of unity to endorse Hon. Ochigbo Ene Linda’s bid for the Benue State House of Assembly (BHoA) ahead of the 2027 elections.

The declaration event, held amid cheers and widespread enthusiasm, underscored what observers described as overwhelming grassroots support for Hon. Linda’s aspiration to represent the Okpokwu State Constituency.

Leading the charge, the Eke Ward Chairman, Hon. Adah Vincent Offikwu, alongside party executives, reaffirmed the ward’s collective commitment to the ambition. The endorsement was further strengthened by the presence and backing of the Eke Elders’ Forum, led by Elder Godwin Ogoh, as well as youth groups, the Eke Women Assembly, ward coordinators, community leaders, and a broad base of party supporters.

Speakers at the gathering described Hon. Linda as a capable and visionary leader, emphasizing her track record and connection with the people as key factors driving their unanimous support.

In a broader political statement, stakeholders also used the occasion to endorse the continuity of Governor Alia/Ode’s administration for 2027, citing ongoing developmental strides. Additionally, a vote of confidence was passed on Hon. Adah Matthew Inalegwu, Executive Chairman of Okpokwu Local Government Area, for what was described as effective and people-oriented governance.

Hon. Prince Abba Simon Sunday, Councillor representing Eke Ward and Majority Leader of the Okpokwu Legislative Council, also received commendation for his quality representation and commitment to grassroots development.

In a passionate appeal, stakeholders called on leaders and citizens across Okpokwu to support Eke Ward’s quest for representation at the State Assembly, stressing the principles of equity, fairness, and justice. They maintained that the 2027 election presents a timely opportunity for Eke to take its rightful place in the constituency’s political leadership.
