Benue SARC Coordinator Linda Ene Ochigbo Invites Stakeholders to Officially Declare Okpokwu Assembly Bid

Declaration event scheduled for April 7 at FJ Garden, Olengbeocho ahead of 2027 elections.

The Coordinator of the Sexual Assault Referral Center (SARC) in Benue State, Hon. Linda Ene Ochigbo, has formally indicated her intention to contest for a seat in the Okpokwu State House of Assembly in the 2027 general elections.

Following wide consultations with her family, political associates, and key stakeholders, Hon. Ochigbo has extended an invitation to Constituency Party Executives, stakeholders, and supporters to attend her official declaration ceremony.

The event is scheduled to take place on April 7, 2026, at FJ Garden, Olengbeocho, and is expected to draw prominent political figures, community leaders, youth representatives, and women’s groups from across the constituency.

Her decision to join the race marks a significant transition from her role in public service and advocacy, where she has been actively involved in supporting survivors of sexual and gender-based violence through SARC.

Political observers note that her growing support base and engagement with grassroots stakeholders could play a key role in shaping the upcoming electoral contest in Okpokwu.

The declaration event will provide Hon. Ochigbo an opportunity to formally present her vision and outline her plans for effective representation in the State Assembly.

As anticipation builds, stakeholders and residents alike are looking forward to the event, which signals the early stages of political activities ahead of the 2027 elections.
