Gombe Youth Groups Endorse Bala Bello Tinka for Governorship, Urge ADC to Field Him
A coalition of youth and civil society groups under the aegis of the North East Youth for Enlightening People on Good Governance (NEYEPGG) has endorsed Dr. Bala Bello Tinka as a preferred candidate for the Gombe State governorship election.
The endorsement was announced during a Public Call Gathering held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Hajiya Amina Hall in Gombe. The event attracted a wide range of participants, including youth organizations, community leaders, stakeholders, and concerned citizens from across the state.
According to the group, representatives of over 20 youth and civil society organizations attended the gathering, united by a shared commitment to promoting credible leadership, unity, peace, and good governance in Gombe State.
Participants at the event expressed strong confidence in Dr. Tinka’s leadership qualities, experience, and vision, describing him as a unifying figure capable of advancing the state’s development agenda.
In a unanimous resolution, the forum formally endorsed Dr. Tinka for the governorship position and called on the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to provide him with its platform for the forthcoming election, citing what it described as overwhelming grassroots support.
The group also urged Dr. Tinka to respond promptly to the call, noting that clarity on his political intentions would guide supporters and the general public.
Notable figures present at the gathering included Alhaji Bala Sani, who represented Dr. Tinka; Hon. Ahmad Jadda, ADC State Youth Leader; Rev. Gerson Danfulani, representing Gombe South; Engr. Joshua Amuga; and Hon. Auwal Ibrahim, Coordinator of NEYEPGG, among others.
The organization reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful civic engagement and the promotion of democratic values, calling on citizens and stakeholders to support efforts aimed at ensuring a more prosperous future for Gombe State.
The endorsement marks a significant development in the state’s political landscape ahead of the upcoming governorship election.
