GOVERNOR BALA MOHAMMED FELICITATES MUSLIMS ON EID-EL-FITR, CALLS FOR UNITY, COMPASSION, VIGILANCE
The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in the state, across Nigeria, and around the world on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
In a goodwill message marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan, the Governor expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah (SWT) for granting the faithful the strength, patience, and devotion to observe the sacred fast.
Governor Mohammed described Eid-el-Fitr as more than a festive occasion, noting that it represents a period of reflection, renewal, and recommitment to the core values of Islam. He urged citizens to sustain virtues cultivated during Ramadan, including compassion, humility, generosity, discipline, and kindness.
“True success lies not only in observing Ramadan but in embodying its teachings throughout the year,” he stated, encouraging continued support for the less privileged. He also called on citizens to emulate the teachings and character of Prophet Muhammad, known for mercy, justice, and humility.
The Governor commended religious leaders, scholars, and Imams for their role in promoting moral values, unity, and peaceful coexistence, urging them to sustain their efforts in guiding society.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to unity, Governor Mohammed highlighted Bauchi State’s tradition of peaceful coexistence among diverse ethnic and religious groups. He called on residents to promote tolerance, mutual respect, and collective responsibility.
On security, the Governor urged citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by providing useful information. He assured the public of his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property.
As his administration approaches the end of its second term, Governor Mohammed expressed appreciation to the people for their support and trust. He pledged to consolidate achievements and deliver more dividends of democracy, focusing on sustainable development and improved welfare.
Acknowledging current economic challenges, he assured citizens of ongoing efforts to ease hardship through social interventions and investments in key sectors such as agriculture, infrastructure, and human capital development.
He expressed optimism that the resilience and faith of the people would overcome present challenges and urged citizens to embrace hope and gratitude during the Eid celebrations.
Governor Mohammed concluded with prayers for the acceptance of acts of worship, forgiveness of shortcomings, and many more peaceful celebrations of Eid-el-Fitr.
