Bola Ahmed Tinubu Approves Procurement of Additional Military Equipment

Bola Ahmed Tinubu has authorised the procurement of additional military equipment to strengthen the operational capacity of the Nigerian Armed Forces in the ongoing fight against insurgency and terrorism across the country.

The approval was announced following a high-level security meeting between the President, the Minister of Defence, service chiefs, and intelligence heads at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The move is aimed at enhancing the combat readiness of troops and improving the effectiveness of ongoing military operations against insurgent and terrorist groups threatening national security.

Security officials at the meeting briefed the President on the current security situation in different parts of the country, while discussions also focused on strategies to intensify efforts to defeat insurgency and restore lasting peace.

The procurement of additional equipment is expected to support the Armed Forces with modern tools and resources necessary to confront evolving security threats nationwide.
